This is the time of history and geography chez Dolce & Gabbana. For the new 2014 Spring Summer collection, the Italian designer come back to their beloved Sicily once again, but travelling in time, just until the Greek domination in the island.
Therefore, dresses and accessories are depicted of the classical architecture, with the lithographs of Segesta, Siracusa and Agrigento temples, the old coins and the typical ceramics, all becoming the perfect scenery that inspires every detail.
So, the silhouette loved by the two designers, made of gored light overcoats, soft tunics and bound LBD, enhancing the Mediterranean femininity, come alive under this new classical influence, but without forgetting the tradition, with the usual black lace and even gold, that crowds the latest pieces of the fashion show in a cascade of embroidery and precious weaves…
